DigitalFoundry has tested the performance of the new Xbox One S and guess what: it is faster…but not much.
The GPU clock-speed was increased from 853MHz (Xbox One) to 914MHz (Xbox One S) and the ESRAM bandwidth was also increased to 219GB/s (Xbox One: 204GB/s). Some games run noticeably faster, others not. While gaming the fps can go up from 2fps to 10fps, but only in some situations. Xbox One can compute 1.31 teraflops, Xbox One S 1.4 teraflops and Xbox Project Scorpio is expected to compute 6.0 teraflops.
